"Turning One Day into Day One: How to Start Taking Action Towards Your Goals"

We all have encountered moments when we wait for the perfect opportunity that may never come. However, this approach only leads us to dream instead of taking action. Today, let us replace the phrase “one day…” with “day one.” Remember, happiness comes from making progress, while procrastination and excuse-making can lead to significant unhappiness.

Transformation

  1. START: Two-Thirds of God is: GO. When ten lepers cried out to Jesus for mercy, He said: “Go show yourselves to the priests.” Jesus sent them to the priests without having healed them. But the scripture says, AS THEY WENT, THEY WERE HEALED. (Luke 17:14) Their healing was in the next step they took.

2. GOD ORDERS OUR STEPS! Notice this simple truth: His plan for you is unfathomable, but He brings it to pass through your STEPS. Take the next one.

3. THIS IS THE DAY! Psalm 118:24 reminds us, “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Embrace today as a precious gift, full of opportunity and blessing. Expect the goodness of God today. Expect mercy today. They have both been assigned by God to follow you throughout your life.

4. FALL IN LOVE WITH LITTLE! Yes, little! DREAM BIG, BUT START LITTLE. When Jesus was suffering in the garden of Gethsemane—with the weight of the world upon His shoulders—He just “moved forward a little.”(Mark 14:35, KJV) The destination of your dream is only arrived at through a series of little steps.

5. RESPECT THE SEED! Everything we need is in our seed.

God’s promise is a seed. Declare it.

Prayer is a seed. Pray it.

Money is a seed. Give it.

A smile is a seed. Show it.

Consider the mustard seed: tiny yet growing into a vast garden plant. (Mark 4:31–32) Plants don’t grow if seeds aren’t sown. Don’t sweat the harvest. Focus on planting your seeds today.

6. TAKE BACK YOUR POWER! Faith is seen in the steps we take. Stop beating yourself up. Start building yourself up. Start with a 10-second prayer. Buy someone a coffee. Start exercising for 5 or 10 minutes. Reclaim your power by acting now. Face the storm. Slay the dragon.

7. NEW MENTALITY, NEW REALITY! You can’t have a new reality without a new mentality. You are not this day’s victim. You are its conqueror. Embrace your God-given identity as more than a conqueror. (Romans 8:37)

LET'S PRAY

Today, I turn “One day...” into DAY ONE! Today is “Day One” of my greatest days, my healthiest life, and my most enthusiastic self. This is the day the Lord has made, so I choose joy and decisive action! My faith is seen in the steps I take. So, I start by moving forward a little. I am more than a conqueror today. In God’s strength, every challenge shrinks, all mountains level, and every dream comes within reach. This new mentality will become my reality. I am confident and victorious in Jesus’ Name!
